Ignacio E. Cendan, M.D.

Dr. Ignacio E. Cendan is a highly esteemed physician at Pulmonary Physicians of South Florida (PPSF), bringing 34 years of extensive medical experience to his patients. Board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine, Dr. Cendan earned his medical degree from Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic. He completed his Internal Medicine internship at Trenton Affiliated Hospitals in New Jersey, followed by rigorous fellowships in Pulmonary Medicine at Cabrini Medical Center and Critical Care Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Cendan’s clinical expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of respiratory conditions, with a specialized focus on diagnosing and treating airway diseases, interstitial lung diseases, and sleep disorders. As a highly skilled interventional proceduralist, he routinely performs bronchoscopies, thoracentesis, and intubations, providing crucial care for acutely ill patients. He is proudly affiliated with Baptist Hospital in Miami, Florida, and is a recognized Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.

Fluent in English, Spanish, and French, Dr. Cendan is committed to delivering clinical excellence, compassion, and highly individualized treatment plans to South Florida’s diverse population.
