Sarcoidosis

Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory condition characterized by the formation of microscopic clumps of inflammatory cells, known as granulomas, in various organs—most commonly the lungs and chest lymph nodes. As these granulomas accumulate, they can alter normal lung function and cause stiffness in the chest.

Patients with pulmonary sarcoidosis may experience a persistent dry cough, shortness of breath, joint aches, night sweats, and significant fatigue.
