Solitary Pulmonary Nodules

A solitary pulmonary nodule is a single, small round spot on the lung tissue, often discovered unexpectedly during a routine chest X-ray or CT scan. While finding a nodule can cause immediate anxiety, the majority of lung nodules are entirely non-cancerous (benign) and stem from past infections or mild scar tissue.
